We recognize that schools serve diverse populations and each school/district has its own needs and challenges, and work to ensure that all professional development is customized to the specific needs of our clients
Our consultants view research as authoritative and valid evidence of what works, and utilize job-embedded coaching methods to successfully bridge the research-to practice gap in the classroom
Training in the use, administration, and analysis of results in specific assessments such as Teaching Strategies Gold, Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), Istation’s Indicators of Progress (ISIP), Dynamic Indicators of Basic Literacy Skills (DIBELS 6th Ed. and Next), AimsWeb for literacy and math, Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) in reading and math, Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA), Ages and Stages Questionnaire: Social Emotional (ASQ: SE), various program specific assessments, and many more.
We recognize formative assessment as one of the most effective educational interventions (Black and Wiliam, 1998; Marzano, 2011; Hattie, 2016), view it as a crucial part of driving change in instruction to improve learning for all students, and are able to assist educators in the construction of powerful formative assessments within any curriculum

Specifically, the targeted professional development described in step two of our above approach focuses on the following: (a) increasing teacher knowledge of critical content, (b) improving the delivery of that content to students, and (c) increasing academic learning time through clear classroom routines and student engagement techniques. We are able to use this approach as we guide school leadership teams to develop instructional frameworks that reduce the gap between advantaged and disadvantaged students in all disaggregated groups.
